Floor Mirrors

Floor mirrors may often be seen in the shapes of ovals or rectangles, but they can be found in almost any shape. Modern mirrors have truly original style that you may never have seen before. As a rule, floor mirrors are up to seven feet in height and two or more feet wide. They are usually placed in a position such that you can see your face when you glance down a bit. Cheval mirrors were especially popular as these mirrors began to be utilized more often, and you can still purchase this style of mirror today. Many of these full length floor mirrors can be swiveled, for easier use. 

Practicality is important when you place floor mirrors in your room. You can brighten up the room by reflecting natural light that shines through larger windows, to brighten up the areas of your room that might otherwise look dark or dim. If you have low wattage lamps, a floor mirror can spread their minimal light around, to give the room a romantic air.

Smaller rooms can be helped to appear larger with good use of floor mirrors. Select a location for your mirror that will enhance the room most fully. Using mirrors in corners actually uses up more space than they open up, but if you angle them properly, they will add to the feeling of increased size in the room.

Floor mirrors are easy to take with you when you move, since they are portable. It’s also the easiest way to get a full-length view of your clothes before you step out the door. They’re handy for you to gauge weight loss or gain, too, before it sneaks up on you. The sizes can be used for short or taller family members, giving them confidence as they go into their days. The designs of full length floor mirrors allow them to fit in with nearly any type of décor you may have in the room.
