A full sized bed is every bit as functional as most king and queen sized beds. It doesn’t have quite the same amount of room to stretch, but it’s still generally large enough for two people, and well more than one person needs for sleeping.

The style of bed you choose will depend on the type of décor that you would like in your room. If you already have the walls painted and the draperies in, you’ll want to select a bed that will blend well with the colors you already have used in your room. Alternately, you can choose your bed and furnishings first, and then paint the walls to blend with that décor.

Your bed should be properly in proportion to the size of your room, so a full size bed will work well in rooms that simply are not large enough for queen or king size beds. This will also leave you enough room for the other furnishings you would like to include in the room, like nightstands and a dresser. Be sure to leave room around the windows to let in plenty of sunlight, which will make the room feel more airy and roomy.

Hardwoods make lovely frames for full size beds, and these types are often selected for traditional rooms. Even contemporary styled rooms can benefit from beds made with hardwoods, if their style is sleek. Darker woods generally denote a more formal style, where lighter woods can help a smaller room look more spacious.

Full sized beds will often make it easier to move around in your bedroom. You should have plenty of room on each side of the bed, even after you add nightstands. Using full beds will ensure that you don’t block doors or windows, so that the traffic patterns will be undisturbed.  Using your insights and design sense when styling your room will allow your room to look completely in-balance.

Full sized traditional beds help your room to look for classic in design, and more formal, if you use the darker colors of woods. These beds add to the sense of elegance in the room, and make it look well-planned. Poster beds and sleigh beds are two of the more popular styles of full sized beds that you can use in your room.

A panel bad can be used in various types of décor. Sometimes categorized as contemporary in style, they can also look proper in a traditional room. Whether you choose contemporary or traditional styles of full size beds, your master bedroom or guest bedroom will look elegant and well-designed, and you’ll enjoy restful nights.
